Infertility: A Problem That Grows Despite Advances In Medical Science

Among the many things in life that every woman looks forward to is the time when they give birth to a newborn baby and this is perhaps the most fulfilling moment in every woman’s life. However, there are, it is believed, approximately ten million American women that have a problem conceiving and so, this is a major problem for which something needs to be done.

The sad truth is that, it is believed, that one in every six couple that has reached the age of being able to conceive will be suffering from the learning that they are not able to have children on their own, even in spite of major advances in medical science. Such a condition is known as infertility and it is something that can shock any couple who learns that they have this problem.

Not Able To Conceive Even In Spite Of Repeated Attempts

If you are desperate to conceive a child, then infertility is the last thing that you would want to deal with, regardless of the fact that the world today is grappling with problems of over population and is promoting means of preventing pregnancies which are not absolutely necessary. To be sure, infertility is a condition in which a couple is unable to conceive even after repeated attempts at having a child for as long as a whole year or even more.

There is however ways and means of helping people out because with infertility treatments such as femara (Letrozole) available, there is still hope for a mother having an infertility problem.

Infertility is also referred to as not being able to carry through a pregnancy to its logical end i.e. nine months and if such a condition affects you as well, you would need to have to take an expensive and lengthy succession of tests known as ‘infertility work-ups’ that is aimed at identifying the exact reason why this problem occurs.

The only problem with undergoing such tests is that they can prove to be too costly and the time taken may be such that a couple may lack motivation in undergoing these tests and thus infertility has become a major issue amongst that segment of the population that is not financially too well off.

What’s worse is the fact that according to studies on this topic, it has been found that the condition will become worse rather than improve in the near and long term and in fact, infertility is also a big reason why many couples put off getting married and turn instead to immersing them in their careers in order to deal with the suffering caused by knowing that they have an issue with infertility.
