There are other measures you can take to take the edge off the symptoms of menopause. Avoid particular substances like caffeine, alcoholic beverages, and highly spiced foods. Keep your stress under control. Try applying ice packs when a hot flash occurs, and be mindful that those women who exercise regularly might not have as many symptoms. Avoid taking hot showers or baths right before going to bed since they can cause night sweats.

You can also go to the health food store and get some other suggestions from their knowledgeable staff. Just remember to keep taking the remedy for at least 3 months to see if it will work. Any less and you are wasting your time and cash because it sometimes takes that long for the benefits to show. Always check with your health care provider before utilizing any herbs because they may severely conflict with certain medicines, both prescription and non-prescription.
